Over three highly-interactive sessions, we’ll guide you through the essentials of creating a revenue model, paired with a development plan that aligns with your mission. Ideal for nonprofit leaders and development professionals, this workshop will provide you with the tools to secure and grow your
organization’s financial health, ensuring lasting impact and success.

These sessions are designed to be highly interactive and hands-on, offering a dynamic learning experience. Participants are encouraged to engage actively and contribute their professional insights, examples, and questions to enrich the group discussions. Come prepared to be visible and vocal in the virtual space, making the most of these collaborative opportunities.

Workshop 1: Exploring Nonprofit Revenue Models

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the various revenue streams available to nonprofits and the larger funding landscape
• Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of different revenue models
• Learn how to assess your organization’s current revenue model and identify areas for enhancement

Workshop 2: Aligning Revenue Models with Development Plans

Learning Objectives:

• Explore the connection between a sustainable revenue model and an effective development plan.
• Learn how to align your revenue strategies with your organization’s mission and strategic goals.
• Identify the key components of a development plan that supports a revenue model. 

Workshop 3: Building and Implementing Your Plan

Learning Objectives:

• Resourcing your plan: strategies for budgeting and staffing to effectively support development activities. 
• Learn how to roll out your development plan and manage its execution.
• Discuss methods for tracking progress, evaluating effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments to stay aligned with goals.

Tuition

We offer an accessible sliding-scale tuition fee structure. For those who are able, the Community Builder fee helps cover the costs The People’s Nonprofit incurs to host and develop the training. If you are able to contribute more, please consider the Equity Builder fee, which will increase attendance accessibility to our programming. Tuition levels are based on organizational budget size. Members also receive a $100 discount on any workshop. 

• Equity Builder: For organizations with annual budgets greater than $1,000,001. 
• Capacity Builder: For organizations with annual budget sizes between $500,001 and $1,000,000, and for individuals sponsoring themselves or unaffiliated with an organization.
• Solidarity Builder: For organizations with annual budgets under $500,000 and for individuals who are self-financing and identify as BIPOC, queer, low-income, with disabilities, and other marginalized identities.

About the Presenter: Caliopy Glaros

Caliopy Glaros is the Founder of Philanthropy without Borders, a consultancy that helps nonprofits clarify their priorities, tell powerful stories, and raise more money so they can continue to tackle the world’s toughest problems. Working at the intersection of philanthropy, organizational development, and intercultural communication, Caliopy has consulted organizations and teams in more than forty countries on five continents.

After a career in higher education and international development, Caliopy launched her consultancy in 2018 with a mission to help organizations scale their initiatives and push back against exploitative practices within the charitable sector. With extensive experience on both sides of philanthropy, she has supported nonprofits in enhancing their fundraising efforts and guided foundations in refining their priorities.

Caliopy has successfully built fundraising departments, developed new donor engagement programs, and crafted sustainable revenue models for a diverse range of clients. Her work has earned her clients recognition from the Clinton Global Initiative and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals International Stewardship Awards in Innovation. She holds an academic background in Anthropology and Adult Learning and is a certified trainer in Intercultural Communication.
